This Tuesday, Chhader Chhobi Season 3 took us to the Saharan desert with Abderrahmane Sissako’s Timbuktu (2014), a 97-minute Mauritanian gem.
The film painted a poignant picture of life under religious extremism, blending moments of beauty, resistance, and heartbreak. Its rich visuals and emotionally charged narrative sparked thoughtful discussions about identity, resilience, and the power of art in challenging oppression.
As always, the simplicity of the rooftop setup enhanced the evening’s charm, creating a warm space for film enthusiasts to connect and reflect.
Thank you to everyone who joined and to our logistics partners, Cloud Marcom BD and Studio Junction, for making this possible.
Stay tuned for next week as we continue exploring the world through cinema!
