Chhader Chhobi S3E1

As the new year brings fresh beginnings, we’re thrilled to kick off a brand-new season of Chhader Chhobi. This Tuesday evening, the rooftop of Ratherhood Initiative Limited welcomed a lively gathering for the first episode of Season 3.

In this session, we celebrated the profound storytelling of African cinema, showcasing Ousmane Sembène’s Black Girl (1966). This 65-minute masterpiece, known as one of the pioneering films of African cinema, explored themes of post-colonial identity, cultural conflict, and the human cost of exploitation. The film’s striking narrative and emotive visual language captivated the audience, sparking a spirited discussion on its relevance in today’s world.

The cozy rooftop setting, combined with thoughtful exchanges, created an atmosphere of both reflection and camaraderie. It’s always heartening to see film enthusiasts come together to share perspectives, ideas, and insights, proving once again that cinema transcends barriers.

A big thank you to all the attendees for making this a memorable evening and to our logistics partners, Cloud Marcom BD and Studio Junction, for their continued support.
